An analysis of the ice free regions of the Arctic Ocean has found that the higher temperatur­es experience­d due to climate change may paradoxica­lly mean that the northern hemisphere has increased the chances of colder winters in the years to come. <strong> I agree...but you must also remember that overall, this is absolutely normal for this region at this time of year. In fact...we have had a reasonably warm winter till about 2 weeks ago. and snow will mean that it will not be as cold. We also have periodic blizzards, the last being in 1980. I am not in the UK or even Europe, so I do not know what "normal" is for that region, so I can not speak for the weather that they are having over there.
