It comes into the yard everyday...at least once a day. I've tried to get a picture, but it keeps flying off before the camera shutter clicks. ah, a camera shy butterfly! Sounds interesting, I wonderwhat kind it is? I hope that you get a picture of your little visitor ~ Dawn As of late, we have had a beautiful blue and black butterfly (4in wing span) take a liking to my plumbego. At least much better than daily working with spiritless computers! In a business like butterfly fostering you are busy with " nature " as well as natural emblems. By the way is there any commercial purpose in this business as well? It's a nice photo anyway. The butterfly sanctuary that we go to, has an "adopt a butterfly program", where you pay to take home some caterpillars and you take them home and let they grow, form a crystalis. When they emerge, you can bring them back to the sanctuarty and let them go (they dont charge to enter when you bring butterflies back) or if it is warm enough, you can let them go outside. I dont think the word "adopt" is appropriate for what we do, I rather to 'foster" them. It is lots of fun. The Monarchs actually come on the Milkweed plant that they love to eat. The form their crystalis and emerge, it is alot of fun to watch. ~ Dawn I never knew that one can foster butterflies! It’s really a fantastic and interesting job!Isn’t it ?
