		<description>I am really glad that the cat wasn't put to sleep.  I do agree that the owner should have started keeping him inside before it got to this point, though.  It's very dangerous outside for cats, anyway.  It adds years to their lives to keep them inside.  Some cats will immediately escape upon first opportunity, but my cats are indoor cats and generally don't try to get out.  One time when they did, they didn't go far before getting too scared and running back!

&lt;strong&gt;I know to well about cats and the things they can get from being outside. All three of my little ones are FIV+, which they probably got because they were outside. It is sad but true, If my cats get out (Socks is the only one to try, thankfully) they stand a huge chance of getting hurt or sick
