Thinking is good and should never be avoided. People are encouraged to read, and I agree, in some way, readers are better than non-readers because they are exposed to ideas and experiences that non-readers might never experience.

But I find that people read without thinking. When one reads, one should also think and reflect on what one has read. This is the essence of reading.

I dont mean to brand people, but the higher in life you go, the more you have to think. The cat doesnt think, he's brain is programmed with specific instructions. You, on the other hand, is blessed with the ability to think and to use this ability to make life better for you and others around you. Dont waste you most precious gift!

<strong>I love to read. I encourage my children to read...alot. My problem is that I cant seem to sit and watch a movie or a program without thinking of the 102 things that pop through my head. It is worse when I try to sleep. I thought about asking the doctor for something (they have medications for this) but I cant take anything more with all the meds that I am currently taking...which is up to about 7 a day.

I just wish to come back as a cat if I die (now if I only believed in reincarnation).

When that happens to me, I go write EVERYTHING down. Somehow, having everything on a list makes me feels like it's being taken care of.

<strong>I try to do that, but there are parts of my life/existance, that I dont share with the outside world. Those are the things that bother me the most

You know, I think alot too...I find it difficult to turn my mind off when I go to sleep at night but, I've just about decided that part of the problem just goes with the territory of being a Mom--we feel so responsible for our household and try to cover all the bases. One thing I've learned over the years is that things usually unfold the way they are supposed to, and no amount of worrying is going to help things along one whit. Try to "let it be" and enjoy the gift of today!

<strong>I get out of bed about 5 times before I can actually go to sleep...I think way to much

Thank you for your comment

Oh thinking ... I do that a lot too. I drive myself crazy I think so much. Usually they are 'what if's' though. What if I forget to turn off the decorative light in the bathroom ... will the place catch on fire? What if I don't say goodbye to Mr. Mouse in the morning and tell him I love him .... EVERY single time he leaves the house ... will he die? What if my son doesn't answer the phone when I decide to call him ... does that mean he's DEAD?

Yes, I really DO think those things! LOL Really ... I DO!

<strong>I forgot the 'what if's'. Mine tend to be the 'What am I going to do's". It seems like everytime that something seems to be looking up, the carpet gets pulled out from under my feet...I do wish for a simpler life
