Funeral
I know that this doesn’t mean a hill of beans to most people, but as this is my personal journal…I am writing it down.
Today we went and picked out my fathers casket and made most of the final arrangements. My brother let me pick the mass cards…I chose the poem “footsteps” for the back of the card. My dad wasnt an overly religious man, but he did believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus, and I thought that would be something that he would like if he had to pick it for himself.
The “wake” (aka calling hours, viewing) will be Tuesday at 7pm, and the funeral at the local Catholic Church, on Wednesday at 11am.
I am currently on an even slower computer (dial-up) than before, so this might be my last post till I get back home. I figure that should be Thursday, or Friday at the latest, depending on the weather.
Till then, thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I really do appreciate them.
Added December 9th ~ Obituary

thank you Carl for sending this picture, it is great to see a picture of my dad so young, full of life and doing something he truly loved.

Brose, Ralph Hunter (deceased), Newt & Pauline Thompson (Pauline deceased) & I used to ride motorcycles in the mid-1960s around Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and one time we even made it to Maine. Brose had an old, red Indian Chief that he rebuilt from ground-up, I was riding a 1963 Harley Davidson FL. I have a (digital) picture of Brose sitting on my 1963 Harley, circa 1964, if you would be interested (please contact me).
Thank you so much for writing. I have sent a message to you, I would love to see the picture of my dad. We still have the Red Indian, it is a treasured possession.
